I priced the Boen herringbone for this house but didn't get it.
    Got the carpets.
Went to do carpets and the builders chippy is installing the flooring.
    New build with ufh uploadfromtaptalk1405754807500.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1405754819888.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1405754834495.jpg
Chippy hasn't done a moisture test or used a dpm before. He commented to me that he didn't like how tacky / sticky the dpm was to fit on top of.
Pics are showing the care that the rest of the builders are taking of his dpm

Going to cost a lot of money when they ask you to come back and sort it

Looks like he's using unibond? Any way feck him it's his job not yours and it's not up to you to advise him especially if you priced and lost the job to him.
There are joiners/carpenter's/chippies then there are flooring men and yes there is overlap, but I wouldn't go to a joiner to get a quality price of furniture made, certainly they could knock up a table and some chairs more in the rustic style. Now this is a generalized and their a a few who could do this but most site chippies are putting up studding, door frames, skirting, shelves, joists and sub floors (the stuff we cover up). The main contractor has to take the blame here for taking on the work assuming the the joiner is up to the challenge and has the skill and knowledge to do the job.
    Sorry for the rant!
