Is there a correct position for a Harmer type drain to sit prior to a safety vinyl going down in a wet room? I always used to put them in the middle of where a customer is likely to us it, directly under the fall of water.
Builders seems to stick them as far in the corner as possible, I don't know whether the logic is so the level of the floor is only going one way as opposed to being sunk in the middle, for elf and safety reasons? I dunno.

Its cause they are idiots and dont have a clue what they are doing in general, like you said drain should be directly below the fall of the water from the shower head, that way you can get the shallow fall on all sides and not a steep one in some cases that can cause the vinyl to ripple on the wall.

Both useless in the vast majority of cases unfortunately, and most I bump into back up my stereotype, but like any there are good ones about, saw a top Romanian tiler the other week, proper mustard he was.
