I've finally got myself a buffer and ordered a couple of copper discs from Trade Discount Shop (thanks Mario)

The buffer has a drive plate. How do the discs attach?

(Picking up buffer Thursday and hopefully will have discs about then as well so can't look to see how to do it yet).

depends on the plate I believe
mine has a bolt on the back you unscrew the little coupling plate, the disc sits on it then screws back onto the drive plate
    simple enough bud
    What buffer you get?
Best thing I ever did was get the itools disc attatchment for the diamond segments for grinding
    Thanks Mario!

F60 it to a scrub pad the machine i have is the spe so the weight holds it on but as cool said some have the bolt in the middle.

That's the problem with buying high speed machines. Plenty of them around and cheapish.
    Trimmer.
I'll put a red pad in for you (used of course)
The copper discs are usable both sides so it should hold on pad.
Not used them myself so cant say.
As coolevilangel says itools disc is a better way to go... but I would say that... :D

Drill 2 holes and screw it to the board!

I do a lot of work for floormart, they got some good kit but can be expensive.

Why do you need to glue or screw discs to the bottom of the drive plate ? Scrim pad & the weight keeps them on fine ?

not with the victor. Had one a while ago and tried with a sanding disc and it shoots off the drive plate. With the spe and the machine you have which is the same but nilfisk the weight holds them.

I use a black pad and a piece of strong double sided tape and it holds on. I just got a victor but also think its a bit too fast!

Cheers Mario. All arrived today. Thanks

(Although you forgot the used pad but I reckon I can get by without it)

Picked the buffer up today - bonus it's got a built in vac but I'll connect it up to my separator and vac.
Drive plate has a spiky spring loaded base so I'll try it without any fixings 1st. If that doesn't work I'll use a couple of screws

I've been using a str 701 machine that I hired and it is spot on. Gotta sell that victor thing now!

Bugger.. Sorry, in such a rush to get it out between jobs.
Just remembered as I was logging into the system to see if it had arrived at yours.

    The plate is sprung loaded
Don't use the disc direct to that drive plate, I wouldn't want you slicing your ankles as it Frisbee across the room, it probably won't go anywhere as the friction of the drive board won't be sufficient to spin it out
