Matt this guy has sent me a torrent of abuse as i commented on it on youtube! I'm the cowboy appatently lol
just click on the first link Steve Cane put up (post No1 ) , under his videos you should find a link to this thread.
For a pro the only professional fitting tool was the stairtool, never seen a ballpinn hammer used for that before, some sharp blades may also have helped. As for the doorbars, has he any idea what z bars are. Or how to pack them up (for the thickness of the underlay) On the upside he did tape the joins on the underlay Oh! And the carpet appears to be fitted back to front , I.E. the pile appears to run towards the fireplace. Capetfitting pro my ass
Spraying the underlay on wood rather then stapling seems pointless, the carpet looked like it was ordered a meter or 2 too long! And that stretching method looked pretty much pointless, you could see it coming off the gripper as he went along the wall more lol, cutting the gripper with metal cutters and using nails from the other gripper so that gripper ends up with less I hate seeing! I would be tempted to say all the good comments he's received are his own under different names....
