    Hey all,

I would like to apply 2 coats of Sika Primer MB to my 10m2 concrete floor prior to installation of engineered boards. It comes in 5 and 10kg packs, the latter being better value per m2 coverage.

Reading the technical spec sheet, the second coat needs to be applied between 8 and 36hrs after the first. I haven't used this product before, but am I right that once mixed in the tin, it will have a limited life and cannot be used for a second coat after the first coat has dried. Therefore, 2 x 5kg tins will have to be bought.

I've remember the last time I used F Ball F76 it hardened in the tin overnight, so could not be used for a second coat the following day.

It's not primer it's a liquid damp proof membrane that is epoxy based so yes will go off in the tub over night like the 76
