18 or 23 gauge nails for beading/scotia

    so as title suggests which one would you go for? 18 is standard but 23 is smaller but assuming 25mm long would the 23s be strong enough to hold it on permanently? reason I ask is changing some of my wood tools and though id check to see ifa 23 gauge would be suitable as my bit of research is inconclusive as to wether at 25mm long it would hold well enough.

    23 for sure. No filing required and plenty strong enough.

    I've never had one pop

    cheers starting to do more laminate at the new place so upgrading my bare bones wood kit to something more substantial to make it quicker/easier to do.
