There are a few firms I sub too, when I don`t have my own work on. Some of my work got put back this week, so I started a new build job.
It involves, scrap up and sweep out, primer over Gyvlon, latex, Karndean to lounge/kitchen, and hall/cupboard with 6 door frames, protect (properly !)and clear rubbish to site skip. Plots are between 33-50 sq. m.
Also, you have to load your own plots on floors 1-7
I have done a fair bit of work for this firm, so trust them, and started the work, without asking any prices. When I got them, the rate worked out to £ 7.85 sq. m ?
To be fair to them, I had a discussion about realistic rates, and we agreed on a rate that was acceptable, but they other guys were lapping it up.

A lot of firms really don't appreciate the timescale involved in just preparing the floor to have primer. uplifting/scraping/hoovering then primer can take a while sometimes.

If they were offering just £7.85m2 for all the prep and laying then is just frightening
When i tried asking about realistic rates i was told stories,, so not worth going to work for unrealistic rates
