I think they can differ slightly but I've just pulled this up..."Depth 1.00mm, width 1.50mm, tooth width 0.5mm" Sounds about right..
I have looked and it came up with 1.5 x 3mm and somewhere else said different. I don't want to get this wrong as it's my first lvt and it's for my parents.
3 x 1.5 is about right.....just measured one of several. I also noticed although the centres stay the same ( 3mm ) the depth varies probably due to different batches. I have some A1 blades too which the teeth almost resemble the edge of a hacksaw blade. You don't get much mileage out of one on a screeded subfloor.
Just go & buy an A2 fan trowel from a Flooring wholesaler most should stock then or order one on line there only a few quid !
I ordered an a2 blade from Cheshires and it came today and its 1.5mm X 1.5mm but this looks a lot different to the one I used on the floor skills course, and now I'm hearing so many different sizes :-/
a fitter I know his trowel is so worn its like a screed trowel but his answer is you have to roll ps so saves doing it.mind you it works for him.you should have 1.5 though and I use an a2 on karndean, vinyl etc
I normally stick a couple of A2s on my Karndean orders when my old ones have worn down there cheap a hell
I stock two sizes of A2 in the fan style and an A2 replacement trowel blade, all 3 are the same teeth size which are 2mm gap and depth of tooth 2mm. http://www.carpetfittersshoponline.co.uk/25cm-adhesive-spreaders-rws146ab-444-p.asp http://www.carpetfittersshoponline.co.uk/amtico-adhesive-blade-a2-rws063a-376-p.asp regards Rugrat
Karndean do good prices on all there tools ! I can tell you how much things are if you ever need to know !
Thanks if all goes to plan i will be doing a lot more lvt. Did the floorskills course and have now done herringbone tile in my dads kitchen and think I'm hooked. Really enjoyed fitting it.
