Hello there. We just moved into a new house, and we got a new carpet. The carpet is thick and comfy to walk on. However, I didn’t know that it would look so patchy. The carpet is grey. When I try to hoover it, this leaves lines and streaks that are really noticeable. When the carpet one way, it goes dark grey. When I rub it the opposite way, it goes light grey. My wife doesn’t mind this, but I think it looks messy and patchy. In fact, I think it looks awful. I have been told that the carpet will “settle”, but I’m not so sure. Is there anything I can do? A special brush? A carpet treatment? Is there any way to minimise the patchyness or colour difference? Is there any way to make it appear more of a consistent colour? Any help would be appreciated.
It’s the nature of the carpet. As it starts to wear and crush it may become less noticeable Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
