The sad thing is that I suspect he is good at what a lot of you have already eluded to which is commercial vinyl/carpet fitting...he fitted the corridor at the hospital I work at apparently...I got a few strange looks when I went round inspecting the edges today he should never have branched out into LVT...it’s clearly not his thing. Scary thing is it appears the builder who sub contracted him to us still has no qualms about using him for future jobs...feel so bad for those poor unsuspecting customers to be honest it’s opened my eyes a lot...a very expensive mistake... Still considering my next move carefully... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If every cut was bad, i would have said he was just no good at the job, but the really annoying thing about fitters like him, is that he is probably capable of doing a neat job of that piece, he just didn't care enough to do it
I guess I’ll never know now! Another example of a great cut...third attempt at sticking this bit down and they leave it like that it looks worse in real life! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Perhaps my standards are unrealistically high Would anyone be able to give me an idea of what costs per sqm should roughly be for laying this type of floor properly? Just wondering if we paid too little (didn’t feel like it) and you get what you pay for? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Can I check if the supply of the floor and plywood is included in that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Update: the floor company have agreed to give us a full refund (they want to come and remove the floor ‘professionally’ so they can reuse it ). Can’t believe we have got to rip the whole thing up but think (hope) this is the best outcome in the long run. Now got to find someone to relay it properly for us Thanks to you all for your help and advice with this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
