Hey, so reading around this forum a fair bit I'd narrowed down my decision for underlay to the Caviar and Crystal 9mm. Reason being that it seems to be favourably rated in several threads, I'd have no issues with fitting and it should be fine for a high traffic living/dining room that acts as a pathway to the kitchen. A quick phone call to a supplier to grab some and they were pushing their another brand instead which is the Plushwalk 10mm or 12mm. Usually I wouldn't be swayed by flashy sales talk but the numbers for the sound reduction (44dB vs 38dB) and tog rating (2.7 vs 2.3) seemed to technically favour the Plushwalk. I'm not overly worried about cost, I just want to make the best decision I can as this is my first time sorting my own carpet. So the question is Caviar and Crystal 9mm vs Plushwalk 10mm .... I wonder what the knowledgeable folk on here thought, do those numbers really matter at the end of the day or should I go for the tried and true Cloud 9 product or something different entirely?
I'd go with Caviar myself, not used the plushwalk before but I have seen it and not keen on the memory foam, seemed too soft to me
Hadn't realised I gave you a bad spelling rating, must have accidentally pressed it while i was scrolling down the page lol
