Employers now have the chance to influence how floorcovering apprenticeships work. You can have a say in the new simplified apprenticeship format. Would you like to see carpet only, vinyl only? Domestic separate from commercial? Do you think there should be a basic Level 2, with an advanced Level 3? We need at least 10 employers to put themselves forward quickly to work with Floorskills Training Centre, so we can express an interest before the end of July. Then, from September we could offer the standard apprenticeship, plus a new option where employers select the training they want for their apprentices, to suit the materials they work with.
