    as above ,
I have uplifted existing finger wood , removed the bitumen paper and hand scraped as best as possible.

I would like to hire a buffer to remove remaining bitumen before dpm sandwiching the floor (its my own house)

So i called into the local hire shop today , and the geezer Suggested a floor scabbler !!

I was thinking more along the lines of a refina buffer with a diamond blade . But he says the scabbler will be fine on a floor screed ?

    Any suggestions guys

    Cheers nick

A scrabbler will pulverise your subfloor. Make sure you get some ear defenders and tell your neighbours to go out. Plus your going to fill your room with asbestos.

A scabbler would do it, but possibly a bit overkill for the amount you want to remove and maybe a bit messy, personally, i would use a buffer with pcd blocks

I wouldn't bother trying to remove bitumen
It's a horrendous mess and potentially can contain asbestos
