I do the border first when doing herringbone I know it’s the slower way but I find it better fit is this the correct way or just personal preference

Don’t ya find probs with bevelling and peaking from cut I’ve done it with field first then used spatula knife to take burr off top also any wobble in cut shows on border I find

If you've got a guillotine it's the best way

Usually field first, cutting varies depending on the job ,sometimes guillotine, sometimes plunge saw ,sometimes knife ,sometimes all three

Each to their own, I personally prefer field first then border.
    Find it faster

I find field first faster but not the better job and I think what’s the point in doing a trade if ya don’t want to be good many times in my career I’ve thought I we’re the bees knees but I’ve realised that even a beginner can teach me something also that there are people far better than me and the more I learn the more I realise the less I know

Not really. Theres loads of ways of doing it but each to there own. Once you have a few rows down in the field run the scribe down and done.

Why can’t you bevel the edge? We do.
