Alright lads have been asked by my mate to try and sort out a shower room in a refinery (dirtiest place I have ever seen) Basically they want the floor screeded level (old rough painted concrete) and is 6mm out all over the place. I am just being asked to do the screeding part and nothing else but my concerns are that the building defo doesn't have a DPM as is a refinery built in 1950's, would need steam cleaned to get rid bacteria and grind paint off. The other problem is that it needs to be fast track as the place is open 24/7 and max time they can give for shut down is 4 days. I know belt and braces is dig all up, new DPM, concrete then ceramic tile. Also said about the fall in the water but tiler says don't worry he will sort just needs to be level.

Will post pics when can find cable.

    Tiler says he'll sort it???
Does tiler want it level or just smooth?
Once screeded and level , is the tiler putting a fall in by using half a ton of addy to make the fall?

Yeah sorry guys  Basically need suggestions for for fasttrack to build up the base and get level and tiler will sort out the fall. To be honest it looks a pig of a job due to no Dpm. Coz it is ceramics going over the top I don't know if dpm is a major worry as using waterproof adhesive. Am thinking grind crap off 2 coat 1k turbo, mapeprim and latexplan?

As ceramics if the installer is using exterior grade adhesive you dont need to worry about dpm.

Simply use latex plan with standard primer.

    Dont get using surface dpm's

    ye eco prim t.

You want to dilute it also. Eco prim t is one of the only primers that can be watered down and still be used on impervious surfaces :geek:

in your case i would probo water down to 1-3 . Dont worry it dont break down when there is moister like other primers.
