Hi, I need to get my carpets replaced due to moth damage and was wondering if 7.2m x 4m would be enough to cover the areas. I'll attach a copy of the floor plan, as well as the measurements and how I envisage the carpet pieces being laid out. I will hire a carpet fitter to do the work, but wanted to double check what would work before I potentially get overcharged given the carpet is £50 per sq m. The measurements also include about 1.5cm of skirting on each side. Thanks!
I did. Their physical measurements of the areas were smaller than mine and I was given a quote for 12m x 4m of carpet and that just seems ridiculous to me (this measurement was provided by a contractor organised by the landlord). Which is why I've asked the question. Because to me, the way I've laid it out is the most logical way to do it - I just wanted the opinion of a carpet fitter/professional who isn't just looking to rob me blind.
Is it just a plain carpet? With your plan whatever is happening in the bedroom(pink area) would be going a different direction from the bedroom. Is it a cupboard?
Yes it is a built in wardrobe with sliding doors. Currently it has 2 separate pieces of carpet together. And looking at a beige loop carpet.
