    Hi,

I am carpeting my home office so need something hard wearing that will withstand the movement from my office chair wheels.

i am thinking about getting the loop pile carpet 'Balta Gala Design Cable 910 Carpet' with crumb rubber underlay, probably the Duralay Treadmore 7.95mm underlay?

Does this sound ok? Is the crumb rubber underlay a good option for a home office?

    Thanks!

Should be ok, providing it's fully stuck

Thanks all. When you say stick it do you mean the underlay to the floorboards or the carpet to the underlay? The carpet has secondary backing so was going to buy grippers for that.

You glue the underlay to the floorboards and carpet to the underlay

As Daz has said, adhere the underlay to floorboards and adhere carpet to the underlay. Chair constantly going back and forth will cause bumps in the carpet.

Double stick for sure. Gala is pretty tough for a cheap carpet. Or a good quality backed 80/20

  9. Hello,

It's great to hear that you're carpeting your home office! Considering the movement of your office chair wheels, carpet tiles could be an excellent option for you. They are designed to handle high-traffic areas and the wear and tear caused by chair movement, providing both durability and convenience.
