Any of you guys do ceramics aswell ?

Getting asked quite a bit if I can do them so thinking about doing it.

Obviously floor prep setting out etc is the same so it's just a different product and another thing I could do.

    Thoughts ?

We did them in the early days as my business partner did them. No money in it then as rates were low and customer tend to buy there own tiles

Expensive to do properly, you’ll be lucky if you can supply, customers usually buy garbage adhesives and grouts, epoxy adhesives and grouts are the devil and it’s not the same prep work as other floorcoverings trying to get a customer to use a decoupling membrane or leave expansions where needed is a pig. Unless you’re going all in and get on some high quality training courses and know there’s a demand for a professional in your area don’t bother.

Sadly same as our trade there’s a metric ton of cowboys roaming around.

I know a few lads who are labour only, and earning good money.
So busy they didn`t have enough time to do my bathroom, had to do it myself

I've spoke to a few that are earning good money doing it.

Course near me is £325 think it's worth doing even if I only did a few jobs here and there

If you have time on your hands, why not.
I always seem to be busy, but if I had time I would do it
