    Hey

So our upstairs subfloor is very creaky.
We had one guy come out and say it would need replacing as screwing it down wouldn’t help, and another guy come out and say he would screw it down, and put a 10mm underlay on top would stop most the creaking.

No idea what to do! The t&g goes under partition walls so replacing it wouldn’t be particularly easy.

Is a carpet fitter the best person to use to get it fixed, or would a carpenter be a better option?

    Thanks!
