damp basement

    Good morning,

    LVT going into a basement floor reading 95%RH can Isolator membrane be used is it best to use F77 ?

    Murexin d499 moisture tolerant adhesive with Softlay fleece, jobs a goodun. Above would prob work too tbf.

    Isolator can be used but you can’t bond lvt to the isolator sheet so you would have to put something over it like jumpax

    Does the subfloor have a damp proof membrane under it?

    I’d go Ardex NA, DPM1c , NA again. Worked well for me on a lot of damp floors.

    I'd go down the Ardex route to

    If you lay an isolator sheet low on the water table with no mechanical DPM you could end up with a swimming pool

    Either the ardex route or flooring grade asphalt allow it to dry and cool then prime and screed.

    Bear in mind if you go the epoxy resin dpm option the concrete needs to be in pretty good condition for it to work. No adhesive residue, plaster etc
