Hi, I am about to fit anew engineered wood flooring in my lounge. We have pre installed skirting which I was going to use as my room edge then adding a white trim to cover the expansion gap. I have a slight issue though. My doorframe only protrudes the same as the skirting so I don't know how to finish in this area. I attach a photo of the door frame to try and explain more clearly my issue. When I want to try and avoid is a 10mm gap around the frame where dust and dirt etc will gather. Thanks for reading and offering any advice in advance.

If you have got or can borrow a multi cutter still use a piece of plank

Put together two to three rows to room length, position the floor square to an external wall then back mark from door wall, rip down full length and slide under frames. Don't put rip at door, looks crap and is weak especially at high traffic area.
