    Under Floor Heating

We supply two electric under floor heating systems, both recommended for use under wood flooring. http://www.foresbec.co.uk/index.html

For a detailed quotation, please complete an enquiry form and return this together with a dimensioned floor plan of the room(s) where underfloor heating is required, with external walls and the position and size of windows clearly marked.

Thermonet Heating Foil: easy to fit foil system, supplied as rolls 500mm wide, lengths up to 10m, with heat outputs from 100-150 W/m2. The main advantages of this system are the ease of installation, minimal thickness of about 12 mm (including 10mm insulation board and DPM) and low thermal inertia providing rapid warming up and quick response to temperature changes. Please note that this system may not have sufficient heat output to provide primary heating in older buildings, buildings with low levels of insulation or areas with high heat loss. For higher heat output Thermonet extra heating mat is recommended, with a heat output of 200W/m2.

Raychem T2 Red: the ‘intellegent’ underfloor heating system based on self regulating heating cable technology that automatically adjusts heat output along the length of the cable. This means that heat output is increased in colder areas and reduced in hotter areas, avoiding ‘hot spots’ under rugs and heavy furniture that can overheat wood flooring. Heat output is rated at 60-100W/m2, and the heat output can also be varied by adjusting the cable spacing at the time of installation. The efficiency of the system can be further increased by using Raychem T2Reflecta aluminium and polystyrene base plates.
