Hi, I just picked up 1000 sq ft of engineered wood. The boxes only have three different lengths. A full length piece, and two pieces that collectively make up the same length as the full length piece. My question is: Is this enough variation to create a random length pattern? IE, if I cut these up to different lengths, there would be no dado on the ends of one side. I assume that is not OK... The last two time i laid engineered wood there were five different lengths in the box. Thank you in advance for your help!

Depends how you select them and how many different size areas your fitting in. Don’t cut the ends you can easily stagger the joins even if the boards are all the same size
