Hi all. I'm resurrecting this old thread, as it seems that I'm unable to get my hands on some FG1. This is for a small bedroom 3m x 3.5m for a child. Can anyone recommend a suitable alternative to FG1? I have Karndean Art Select in most of the house, but considering putting down looselay, as it seems easier. I'd welcome advice on anything I've mentioned in this post.

    thanks in advance

Sp101 is your other option, and looselay isn’t any easier to install you still need to stick the stuff down

If you go for looselay, you could get away with using a decent standard ply, as you are only using tackifier, if by chance the ply failed and it is only a small chance, the looselay can be lifted and relayed

Recommended standard ply? Sorry. The choice for 'standard' ply is extensive, and bewildering to a newbie like me.

Could you recommended a standard ply? The choice for 'standard' ply is extensive, and bewildering to a newbie like me. Could I select any of the following? Presumably the last one would be preferred given it's called flooring grade ply; however, the product page says contact branch for price. Either it more expensive than their other ply or its availability is limit.

For instance (I tried to post links, but as I've <10 posts I'm not permitted due to spam prevention):

Wickes has Non Structural Hardwood Plywood Grade: B/BB Graded
    Jewson's has:
    EUCALYPTUS HARDWOOD
    HARDWOOD PLYWOOD POPLAR CORE
    ULTIPRO HARDWOOD PLYWOOD
    ULTIPRO SC117 FLOORING GRADE
