    Hi,

I'm starting to strip our stairs from carpet which was laid with gripfill by the previous tenant.... thankfully an electric multitool with scrapper attachment is a godsend.
So whilst i'm preparing the stairs for varnish and painting, her who must be obeyed has come up with the idea to change the landing to match the laminate we have in the hallway.
No problem, but i would like to verify how to finish the laminate at the top of the stairs.
I have found a laminate nosing - sketch attached
And think i simply remove the existing nosing and replace it with this.
My other quandry is this one is for 18mm, another for 15mm - The laminate i will be laying is 12mm with a 5mm underlay - so do i go 1mm bigger or 2mm smaller?
Or is there another product, or method i should be considering?
    Many Thanks

2mm smaller - you can always pack up but not down

    Thank you,

May i ask what i would use to pack? Standard plastic packers?

Just concerned how i would secure this transition as they recommend adhesive.

    Thanks

If its only few mm then a 'no-nails' type product would work. Any higher than say 3- 4mm then fix a bit of timber down first and then the nosing to that

Yeah google sorted me out on that one, not cheap when you need just one, but if it does the job well it'll be worth it.

    Thanks

Hey guys, got my Flexy Fix delivered today - date around the neck states 12/19.
Can find out if this is the production or expiry date - only thing i could find on the Rewmar site is shelf life is 12 unopened, so guessing this is the production date and i'm ok to use it?
    Thanks
