Cheers for the reply but its not them. its on the wall side and is black rubber about 12'' wide same as pvc skirting. Steve
I shall ask at quantum for you on Monday and see what they say. I take it you mean wallside of the stairway?
I know what you mean steve, haven't done any for years though as they seem to have gone out of fashion. We used to template them, cut the template paper to the same width as the stringer, stick the paper in position on the wall with a bit of tape, then cut, mark out with a pencil, lift off and transfer onto the stringer laid out on the floor. Works a treat. Or you could just hack it in, seen that a few times god forbid.
havent done stringers for a few years but the way i used to do it was fix the stringer to the wall with masking tape running down the length of the stairs. then scribe in all the treads. then drop the stringer on to the treads and tape to wall to hold still then scribe in all the risers. offer up to stairs pencil mark the line then contact adhesive the stringer and wall then stick.
