Hi, we have just had a room fitted with dryback LVT and I checked it over when I got home from work. I've spotted areas im not happy about but just want to check with people who have more experience in this field. Am I just being picky or should I expect better than how it's been done. The first thing I noticed is that the join between 2 planks just as you enter the room is quite obvious. It is the same in several other areas. There seems to be some substance in some of the joints which makes it look more seamless and not in other areas. It looks like they used silicone in a few areas where it meets the skirting which has bled into the wood texture. Some images attached to hopefully illustrate what I've described (for some reason the gaps look worse with the naked eye than camera)
That colour shows everything but it could be neater. All the lines showing need the glue cleaning out and and closing up with a tool. That type of lvt is not always cut perfect but ot can be made to look neater. And the cuts short of the skirting
Thanks for the reply. Can this adjustment be made even when the adhesive is set? I imagine they will only be able to come back out to us tomorrow or the day after.
Just noticed whilst I was wiping down to remove adhesive on the surface that there is a bulge in one spot like there's been summat left underneath one of the planks . FML.
