Hello everyone on The Flooring Forum , Just thought I'd introduce myself as I'm pretty sure I'll be on here asking loads of questions. My names Jerry ,55 , I'm based in South West and have been fitting Bathrooms and kitchens mostly for the last 20yrs . Laying porcelain and ceramic tiles on floors most of the time but in the last 3 yrs there's been more call for LVT or Laminate . So I'm looking at going on the Basic Karndean flooring course next year as most of my jobs now want this type of flooring . I've laid Amtico and Karndean in a lot of my families houses so have a basic knowledge just wont lay it for a customer till I'm certain of adhesives and subfloor prep.
Hello Badger Welcome to the forum mate. What have you laid for the family ? Planks , tiles , any designs
Thanks dazlight , planks in the kitchens ,bathrooms and hallways . nothing with borders or anything to complicated , this is why i'm looking at going on the Karndean course next year.
Welcome to the forum The best way to learn to fit LVT is in a nice pokey bathroom with the whites in and a nice curved shower tray to cut around (and No silicone) with white tiles
Thanks Spacey , not sure how to upload pics to here yet as I do have some pics of my sons bathroom I refurbished for him
