My first post to the forum, “Hello”.. I have some subfloor repairs that I need to make to my kitchen floor. I have LX Hausas “click type” SPC vinyl flooring installed and the problem is in the middle of the floor. How do I remove and reinstall the middle section of this “click type” floor?? If this was wood, I could cut the middle out of a board and remove the section. Then when reinstalling I would remove the ear and glue it down.. but I’m at a loss for how to do this with this flooring since it’s all connected together. I’m hoping there might be some suggestions on how to do this repair.. Thanks for any suggestion. VB,
Unclick it all to where you need to, back mark the planks so you know the order they go in and make sure you have some spares for inevitable damage to some of them, set aside a few hours of arseing about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So the only option is to remove all of the flooring before the damage? That’s an awful lot of work just to fix damage on one or two tiles… there has to be a simpler way. is there a trick to un-clicking the boards so as not to break them when removing them?
What is the best way to mark the flooring so that I get it back in its original position, so that the cut pieces are in their original position?
As you pull them up mark on the back 1,2,3,4 etc in the order you take them out then just reverse it on the way back in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've found a few videos on you tube for reference of some individuals removing bad planks... I'm a little surprised that no one had knowledge of this. Hopefully this may help someone else in the future. VB,
