carrying rolls upon rolls of 130lb bagsof underlay up many many stairs, getting cut to buggery off longpin gripper (i did fall into a full box once hurt like hell) started prepping and bagging rubbish when i was very young, then onto cupboards, bathrooms and felt/foam backs F3 bloody everywhere, then came the laminates glue and clamping. After a while started doing rooms and stairs in secondary then onto LVT's/ bordering/solid woods etc... still doing an apprenticeship now 15 years + later.
One fond memory I have is being sent into a 130m2 room, screeded the day before & handed a carborundum block. "Buffers knackered, rub this room down." -_- Knuckles were all burst to buggery
Wood block repairs, cut dowels with scraper, scrape, sweep then dip block in full bucket of F21.Drop block ! Tell boss he says get it out quick, panic put arm up to elbow in to retrieve it.Ask him what shall i use to clean my arm he gives me a tin of Nitromors yellow! No hairs on my arm for a month & it stung like a kick in the cods. When i moaned he said you wont do that again,he was full of sympathy.
