Hi there - have just had some Woodpecker parquet floor installed. In general it looks great. However the cutting of the planks that adjoin the wall seems a bit haphazard and messy. I know that it is necessary to leave a gap but here the gap is so large in places that I am concerned it will show underneath the skirting board.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Tell him sort it, sack him or get a thicker skirting board

It doesn't have to be absolutely perfect round the edges, but it does have to be better than that

Thanks for the feedback. Do you think there's any way to salvage it other than a really thick skirting board? It's glued down but there is plenty of left over flooring. Is there any way for a pro to pull up the badly cut pieces and replace with better pieces?

You could use skirting and quadrant as well
