Quick post about the agency job I'm on.
Massive site 600/700 rooms & halls to be done in Amtico Spacia. Only 10/15 fitters on site me the only agency bloke.
2 jam rolls in the next section of rooms, fast as lighting and as rough as f$$k. They as might as well used a screeding trowel for what the adhesive looked like. 2 to 3" space from end of planks, so looks like a repeat pattern and basically crappy fitting. Naffed off at 2ish after 80/90 m2 @£5 m2.
I done 30 m2 and took far more care, 3 rooms. I'll take some photos of the fitting tomorrow of the jams chit. Btw I'm on an hourly rate.
Is it me being to picky because of my domestic fitting background.

no not too picky mate, you've got to put your name to ANY work you do so if you're taking time to install correct at least you can keep a clear conscience plus say look at the difference between a quality fitter and cowboys.

    The screeding is spot on.

no offence but i hate fast fitters they go around saying look at me look how fast i am, not about speed about nice looking floors fitted to maufacurers standards obviously you have to fit at a pace but not 1000m2 a day

Not being funny but you can do it fast and a good job if you have good fitters.
Me and mike did a ladies toilet last week and it flown down.
When I'm doing big areas with my business partner he does all the gluing and rolling and fits some of the field but I do all the cutting in.

Agree, speed does come with experience. People who know what their doing, dont take forever doing it.:D

im really talking about unfeasible amounts of m2 to be done by 1 bloke tbh
Your always gonna get the 'i can do 300+m2 of domestic lvts a day etc, i must be better than you who can only do 100' types
Proofs in the pudding lad lol

im not saying i am slow i have just fitted 500m2 of carpet tiles on my jack , what im trying to say i hate the fitters that throw it down think there the bolocks and you stand back and it looks **** (and thats from my house) some people just dont care throw it down in wet glue, groove it out try to weld it with wet adhesive and then there welds dont bond glue all over the place, and they stand back and say is that all you have done today? never forget when a fitter was doing lino with me and he said them exaact words i replied dot worry mate i will get paid to refix, you should of seen his face and guess what i did and he got paid **** all lmao

i think personally if any one fitter can fit 300m2 of lvt in one 8 hour day they must be cutting corners like fuuck

speed comes with experience not rushing i cant do much in a day about 30 sqm in lvt but does vary on open areas in safety its 100sq but smaller areas about 35 - 40 sq ive never understood this game about speed as its about doing the job right and to high standards and making the client happy with what youve done.

Well these poles are fast and crap. With not having done a lot recently I'm taking my time to do a good job. Can't push myself too much or they'll want more doing each day.

It's taken me 2 days to do a 15 m2 hallway in engineered oak this week. Right pain, 8 doorways, 3 cuboards, bullnose new bars and doors need cutting.
