You boys should stick to your guns. Absolutely criminal trying to lower fitting rates. Every other trade out there is putting their prices up. If your self employed they can’t tell you what they will pay you. I’m going to have a guess that the person who came up with the idea to cut fitters rates is probably not taking a pay cut?

No extra to stick gripper even tho we have to supply gripper now primer glue and Labour. We’re heading black to the 1930s

I worked for them for a breif period, probably about 15+ years ago. As I remember we were getting a fair bit more than that even back then. That was for Welwyn Gdn City store

I get £4 a m2 new builds gripper and bars supplied but if we need to stick no extra on top, £3 a m2 and shopping most of the prep gear for THOSE types of customers is outrageous as far as I'm concerned, a firm round my way pays £5 a m2 and supplies all gripper bars etc for those types of customers.

Hold your ground and as an explanation say that your customers expect a certain level of finish which at those rates you are not getting full stop, would be better off at designer contracts which is saying something

It is shocking that they get away with knocking our money down !!
Used to do a bit for them a few years back , was going downhill then tbf .
