Hi guys, I’ve been in the flooring trade for 20 plus years and have been fitting lvt for the last year. Was just wondering if it’s worth becoming a Karndean approved installer and if so how do I become one? Cheers
There’s no such thing so what you do is just do a Karndean training course and then tell people you are even though you might be crap at it
Ah I see... doesn’t seem any point in doing the course. It’s only that I heard that Karndeans warranty is invalid unless it’s fitted by a karndeen approved installers?
Decent course the Karndean one and the certificate helps win jobs I’ve found. The Floorskills level 2 LVT course is well worth doing
Karndean do a basic and advanced course run in Evesham, I whizzed through the basic coarse with ease but the advanced coarse showed me different(simpler) ways of doing things so I actually learnt a lot from it, and I’d been fitting it for 17yrs, and you do get the certificates afterwards....they’re was a lad that failed the coarse of the advanced one so it’s not necessarily a waste of money
