Does anyone use invisiedge/karpetedge or some people call it z edge. Its used around bannisters etc, its aluminium, fits under the gripper, the carpet then rolls over and folds under it. You then tap it down to trap it, it gives you a finish like turned and tacked but without the tacks

it depends on the customer. Some people dont like nap edges. You can always turn and tack the carpet but you know what customers are like. They may have had a shag pile carpet before and you may be installing a tight velvet, there is no way you can pin this and impress the customer.

However, i do prefer to try and use a nap instead.

I,m not sure how much it is mate, the firm i sub to use it, but i have to say it is thinner than it was in the 70,s when i first started using it, so therefore it ,s not quite so easy to use
