Interested to know if there are any rules to follow when laying the wood effect planks to get an even spread of dark and light throughout the floor

presume some will simply lay in the order the planks come out of the pack or is there more of a designed layout approach ?

Appreciate it may be random effect as per wood floors

There’s probably only 10 different planks in every colour

Rule 3...don’t look too closely at the planks or you may become obsessed with the fact you have loads of the exact same board everywhere on your floor

Lol, funny you say that. I know a fitter that did that with some feature strip in a border. Well nearly did lol.

A decent fitter will place boards with care. Making sure the repeats are not next to or in line with each other. Some ranges are easier than others
