Was asked today to ply over a full ground floor of laminate & then lay LVT over. I refused
    Would anyone have done it?

No mate for a well respected company I sub to! Most of my work is from them but the estimater is a bit of a nugget and often run into problems. But my mind was blown away today when I turned up to start prepping. Initially thought it was uplift & ply thinking the uplifts just been missed off the job sheet. Only for the customer to inform me the estimators told him we will just ply over the top and fit it. I told him no chance it needs to come up only to find out it’s a concrete subfloor. Approx 80sqm job. Walked away and lost a weeks work!

Thermoplastic tiles underneath so waiting for them to be tested before we proceed

    Very sensible. 9" or 300x300 ?
The amount of times ive just run at those with a long scraper, and flicked them up off the floor.

Ah, bet you can put fags out on them without leaving a burn mark ;)
Maybe just a buff and polish then
