    Hi guys,

New sofa has been ordered and we are now about to embark on "Operation Lounge" :)

We are indeed of a new carpet to go in our Lounge and having bought the sofa from SCS we had a look in there at Carpet, Missus and I both agreed that we liked the "Invictus Hydrus" priced at £24.99 a mtr, when they told me that they would price match, it was my duty to search for a cheaper price... well i found the same carpet but with a different name called "Sirus" - SCS would indeed price match the online price of £15.99. But, wouldnt give me the free underlay (HAHAHA).

Anyway, has anyone got any expirence or reviews on this carpet? and likewise on the "Leonis" ranges.

Following on from this, i am also going to need to buy some new underlay, the gear SCS and Carpet Right are trying to flog me just seems poor quality and massively overpriced when compared to online prices etc.

I need to find some underlay to suit.

We have a concrete floor in our lounge @ 6.5Mtr x 4Mtr, the carpet we are going for (until now) has an 18MM saxony pile with an action backing and we want to ensure we have the quailty underlay the carpet deserves, we also want that luxurious feel we all want underfoot.

Can anyone reccomend an underlay for our needs ?

I have been looking at Cloud 9 range, either cirus or super contract

    Many thanks

    10mm connoisseur
Fitted quite a bit of the sirus range and it is very nice. Deep soft and warm.

Hate to say it but the last few batches we h had did have tuft problems. Pile falling out and finding bold spots.

Does look quality though in the right colour.

    thanks guys,

I was worried about the pile crush but then the sales chaps were raving about it saying it would be ok, pointing to the label saying its hardwaring and guranteed pile etc etc. this carpet will be in the lounge so fair heavy traffic. You have me slightly worried now,
I will be looking to get the connoisseur or Carpenter's Deepstep.
