I’d like to improve the flooring in the porch. It’s currently an old dirty vinyl floor. I was about to lift it up but i think it’s ontop of bitumen. Oh dear. I assume that’s why it looks extra grubby as staining drawn through it. As it’s lifting at corners I pulled a bit and I saw it took some concrete floor up. So can I install floating floor over it? Presume otherwise it’s all got to come off and floor rebuilt? Im Not sure if the bitumen is a damp course but house is 1974 I think so I’m guessing Marley tiles maybe lifted when they got vinyl down so maybe asbestos in there too?
