Afternoon people. Fitted some Westex silken velvet in a hotel and covered it with correct packexe carpet protector. Tested an offcut for 10 days and all looked good. Removed protector from landing and its left a pink tinge on carpet the exact width of carpet protector. Packexe says it’s nothing to do with them and when they inspected it you couldn’t see it if lights were off (it’s a bloody hotel landing the lights will be on the time) also they are saying if you brush the pile it disappears. Well I’ve tried that and it doesn’t.
Anyone had any problems like this before?
    Any suggestions would be great?

So the ink/dye has transferred onto the carpet then, do you have any of the roll left for them to test? Sounds like they are going to duck from responsibility. Is there any moisture or any spillage to force the protecter to leak??

No leaks or moisture at all mate. Yeah I have some left. But if they test it they’ll come back and say it’s fine. Getting Westex to inspect and then will get an independent inspection too.

    No mate.
No one wants to claim responsibility as usual!

Have you had a carpet cleaning firm out to it, to see if it can be removed, might be worth their opinion, as a last resort
