Please can we help push this petition forward so that it gets the attention needed.

So many self employed workers could face genuinely hard times should this #coronavirus #covid19 situation worsen. Rumours have already begun circulating regarding the closures of sites being closed down across the country.

Without the offering off statutory sick pay #ssp (or something similar) being available to those who are self employed, it could have very serious ramifications to those who are already struggling financially and facing an uphill battle.

Let's use a social media platform for something that could actually help the masses, Instead of it being used irresponsibly as a "soap box" for trolls

Yes, I can`t imagine the capped rate for self employed, would be more than an employed person.

Id argue self employed are running a business more often than not, they have more payments than some1 with a company car who toodles to work and back with a paid lunch and holidays.

Not sure i can claim it either way anyway as my wifes american and on a visa im the sponsor of which i forefit if i claim any benefit
