Morning all im hoping that someone somewhere can help . We have recently had a bathroom refurb and looks great apart from one very very very annoying thing . The first plank layed in door way is much darker than the rest of floor and people saying basically have to live with it or have complete upheaval and have floor up skirting tiles etc . Im praying there is a way to either replace the offending plank or lighten it without major upheaval
No it’s a click system one side of the room will need the skirts removed (if it’s fitted underneath) the floor taking up to the offending plank then replacing it and re-fitting everything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Other option is to cut the plank out and glue another one in,or tap the planks length ways into the expansion gap to separate the end joints, then tap the boards sideways into the gaps on the width to separate the long joints, swap the plank and reverse the process to put it back together
If it's quickstep, you should be able to tap them together flat like tongue and groove, but there is the chance of damage to the click system, if so,you would have to trim the click and glue the joint for the full length of the row
