Can you ply over parquet? Its solid and no gaps. Got 2 rooms been knocked into 1. Back room is quarry tiles that are 20mm higher than the parquet. I was going to ply it upto level and then screed over the lot or ply it higher and screed upto it.
    Quickstep laminate going ontop.

Done one just last week, what I expected to be a full concrete floor turned out to be an old lounge (now bedroom) that had parquet round 2/3 of the room (yeah I checked when did the measure but pulled the 1 corner up that was concrete ) Had to uplift the lot and they were pretty loose so nice and easy but still a pain in the a** as I had to dpm etc etc .....customer absolutely loved her new bill :D

Once you cover the floor, you are changing the conditions the floor is acclimatised to and it will move. I had to uplift and refit 150sqm in a church, it had been fine for around 150years, then they put in a heating system and the whole lot shrunk and lifted

To jump in on this. looking at taking up some parquet in a hall the blocks are 35 mm thick we believe the floor underneath is wood. What are the best options I was thinking 25mm osb board with 9 mm ply on top lvt being fitted.
