Look at this, doing a special job this week, laying plain 2mm shiny rubber on builders installed 12mm ply fixed to computer floor, we are making patterns in the rubber and taking it up a wall, so I did a full spec as I was concerned with anything showing through! So stopgap 700 , rub down and then Micro coat, Looked really great, laid the rubber and the next day a small section of the Chinese ply layer has debonded under the 700, not sure what to do, as I think any repair will look worse than a small bump Only good thing is I wrote in the quote that I couldn't be held responsible for any problems with the ply . And this appears Will see what it looks like later
Possible to drill a very small hole and use a needle to inject some adhesive in? Only problem will be how far in to go
I maybe wrong and it's probably changed but I remember being told that disclaimers don't mean eff all in court and a Judge would basically say you, as a professional, took responsibility to install on that sub floor?
Your probably right but I priced to supply and fix ply and then I added the disclaimer if they didn't use me and the builder did it, so I probably have a good case, if it got that far, It looked good before I laid it and it probably wouldn't have gone apart from the moisture in the 700
Pretty sure in contract it's different to domestic. So long as the project manager (or similar) signed off on you doing the work as per your quote /terms, he's also mentioned to be a pro so it's then his problem
i second that Some of these are so bad i had to show them twice? Either that or my editing skills are toilet.
I can't get my local customers to take sp101.... Too dear they reckon... I reckon it cost more when it goes belly up..
The client knows what it is and accepts that it's not my fault, my builder didn't lay the ply, the base builder did it, I am working for a fit out company, so they will pay me for doing it, I am just reluctant to try and repair as I think it will look worse, Will look at it when the job is finished and cleaned up, and see what the end user thinks
Showed the plan of the next area to the mrs the other night And she said why are you cutting in a wheelbarrow
