Plywood ?

Has anyone had any difficulty getting SP101 plywood? It's all I use, both my local flooring distributors don't stock it anymore, they have changed to FG1.
Found a timber merchant who stocked it, now he is having difficulty getting it!!
I might have to convert to FG1, but my local flooring distributors only stock 6mm, don't seem interested in getting 9mm, and with the state of some sub floors we come across 9mm is a must!!

You guys using FG1, how do you find it?

In what way do you prefer it over SP101?

 

I did manage to get hold of some today, delivery on Friday.

 

Ive had a few bad batches of the sp101 before and it put me off, cutting it with your concave wasnt as smooth and easy. FG1 is much better to cut in my opinion and yes some say its because its too soft but ive used it more or less since it came into my suppliers and havnt had any issues whatsoever. Not saying that all sp101 is the same as what I had but FG1 has been consistent for me so 'I wont fix it till its broke'

FG1 doesn’t have the same warranty as SP101 though. Ask your rep.

 

I got fed up with SP101 had issues with it delaminating, different sized boards etc.
Only use FG1 now it's definitely more consistent and no delamination yet!

Been using SP101 since it come out and not had one issue. If it was delaminating then ring Hanson as it’s got full warranty on that happening.

 

Have to say fg1 is all we use and I find it the same as sp101 first used to be.
The guarantee is the same now as sp101 too
