right to cut a long story short im doing my brothers nightclub
280m2 of carpet which i will be double sticking on tuesday
80m2 of polyflor which is where i have a problem
im running out of time for the opening night
the areas the vinyl are going is already laid with polyflor
normally i would lift and ply but as i say time is precious
can i use p131 primer and then lay on top of old vinyl i know ill get frowned upon but aqs i say time is my enemy just now
im sure weve all had to cut corners before but has anyone used this method before or have any ideas of any products i can use screed is out of the question too as opther trades need acess to

it should not be done as they can plastcise

However if you chose a darker colour of vinyl than whats underneath you should be able to glue direct to the top with f44. (this is not recommened but as its your brothers place you may aswell risk it) Also i guess as its a night club then it will be dark in there so the odd imperfection wont be seen and your brother would have to live with the problem. ( i would never do this for a normal cutomer tho)

black should be fine. F44 straight to the top of the old vinyl. No primer used. Make sure you give it a good clean before you glue. I might also be tempted to skim coat the old welded joins and any damaged areas to stop them showing through and also run a heavy grade scotch pad or a light grade sanding machine over the top to strip any seals and give a key for the adhesive. (again this is not a recommened thing to be doing!)

If you prime a non-impervious material your trowel will scrap the primer off as you glue out.
