    Hi everyone,

I'm after some advice or thoughts on how I can improve the chances of LVTs adhering to a powerfloated floor. We're not actually pouring the floor until next week and we probably won't be tiling for some months yet, so I've been wondering if there's anything we can do before, during or just after the floating to improve the lifespan of the LVT without having to scabble our nice flat floor just before laying?

I've read through a few threads and done some Google research and it looks like the trapped moisture in the subfloor is the main issue. I was wondering whether using an acid etch shortly after floating would make the surface more porous and hence more likely to h dried out enough? Or even just going around after the float with a sharp rake to break the surface and make vent holes?

    Any thoughts gratefully received!

    Thanks

Shotblast or scabble back to aggregate, allow to dry at roughly 1mm a day up to 50mm thick anything more double the time or wait a minimum of 4 weeks then do a Rh% test if below 98% Rh use Ardex DPM 1 C then a 3mm screed over top.

It needs grinding correctly but don't do it until floor is at least 28 days old

    Thanks tarkett85 and mjfl,

The concrete was poured a few weeks ago. We'll get it properly ground in a few months then leave it for 6 or so weeks before covering, so hopefully it should be dry enough.
