Floor is finally up. The guys did two days, but didn't return again. I've done the rest myself with a hammer chisel. Hard where the layers were thin (bits of it were barely 2mm), but came off in chunks where it was thicker. Have had the Gypsol rep out and he's suggesting: We grind/sand any laitance remaining (some has come off during the stripping) then apply a TS15 screed to repair and correct the level issues. It's tight in a few areas which we'll need to pull a few mm's out of first, but I've got the 15mm space everywhere else, so it can take it. Should bring it spot on for the low threshold front door. Need to reconfirm with Gypsol, but I guess this will be left 7 days to, before sanding laitance, then force drying with UFH. Hopefully at 15mm and heated (I've got mechanical ventilation too) this might be 2 weeks total??? Uzin have suggested to apply NC877 to patch any edges, prime with PE360, then smooth with 2mm of NC110, and then Karndean's Universal Adhesive.
Sorry, just read my post and is probably ambiguous implying one or the other. A combined solution of: 1. Patch any edges (eg where original expansion foam went etc) with Uzin NC877 ready for screed. 2. Pump in Gypsol TS15 to get up to correct height and level cheaply and quickly (15mm of NC110 would be nearly 150 bags). 3. Allow to dry and remove laitance 4. Use Uzin NC877 where necessary, like where the screed meets my front door threshold. 5. 2mm of NC110 for final smoothing. 6. Karndean Universal and flooring
