Had a leaky icemaker lead to significant floor removal of Owens Rift Quarter W/O Character grade like a third of kitchen and dinette. It has Glitza which is yellowed from 15 years post install. I am told by the repair installer he had some select R and Q flooring to replace sitting in the shop but Owens is now no more as they got their plywood from Russia. Current flooring is character gradeRQ White Oak The Adjuster said there will be negligible difference in the spliced repair repair installer whoe very reputable Ralphs said the wood is older and likely wont match but and said it will take some time to blend in. What are your thoughts on now noticeable t will be(right in middle of kitchen below ceilng lites. Also should I be asking for some depreciation as the 1/4 inch veneer on owens can only be sanded so many times? Thanks Great site
