I have a staircase that I'm putting lvt on the treads only because there isn't a riser (open back stair case)
Exact same as this one >

Are you nosing front and back? Was just thinking, you could bend it round the back and just put a nosing on the front

They're painting the undersides and want just a nosing to the front.
